About us

Founded by Rebecca Starkins, in Melbourne, Australia, Little Makes Big was born when Rebecca was just 16 years old, from the idea that every LITTLE thought, act of kindness, coin, smile, person or prayer can make a BIG difference. Officially registered in 2009, Little Makes Big originally supplied personalised smocks, library bags and book bags to young school children, the business has grown with Rebecca's passion for all things elegant and classic with a touch of fabulous.

In 2013, the quintessential monogrammed tote bag was launched, a timeless, international must-have worn by Vogue editors, Real Housewives and Pippa Middleton.

In 2014, Little Makes Big began monogramming tote bags in New York City and now exclusively monograms and engraves all personalised products in Melbourne, Australia.

In 2015, Rebecca designed a range called A Piece in Time. 'A Piece in Time' was a collection of one-off pieces {cushions, pochettes and quilts} made from exquisite fabrics. The range comprised fabric by incredible textile designers from all over the world. From Ralph Lauren stripes to Sanderson linen, from France to a tiny market in Spain. All of the products in 'A Piece in Time' were exclusive and handmade by the Destiny Rescue Sewing Production House, in Thailand (DRSPH).

In 2016, Rebecca launched the perfect companion to the tote, a classic clutch. This stunning clutch brings you effortless sophistication featuring canvas, tan leather with elegant contrast stitching and the most gorgeous pink canvas lining.

In 2017, the Little Bow Box was born! A versatile acrylic, keepsake box filled with beautiful handmade bows {one of Rebecca's most favourite things!}. To read about how Rebecca created the Little Bow Box, click here

Little Makes Big places a paramount emphasis on philanthropy and ethical conduct and endeavours to wherever possible bring you products concordant with this mission.
